It's as if society's eye of scrutiny isn't enough, we get rejected by the Catholic Church, too. In recent documents released by the Vatican, it forbade homosexuals from entering the seminary and being ordained as priests.
We all know the Catholic Church isn't very much comfortable with the Homosexuals (or any other sexualities at that) in its community (and vice-versa, for that matter). But previous documents released by the Vatican expressed their thoughts about homosexuality, highlighting that they "hate the sin, not the sinner". But in light of recent developments, looks like the Church has taken back its words.
This is a really drastic move by the newly-elected Pope who is not only coping up with the pressures of being the successor of the most-loved Pope, but is also pressured by the millions of followers watching his every move. Does this mean Pope Benedict just lost a point on the homosexuals' scoreboard?
The final refuge of us in-between sexualities has closed -- moreso slammed -- its door upon our faces. The Catholic Church has been most compassionate and understanding of our case, but with the new Pope in power, can we still expect the Church to be as liberated as many people want it to be? Or will it deeply be rooted to its traditions, thereby ignoring the signs of the times (the Church lives by these two principles, by the way)?
If you're a struggling young man who feels the call of God, which shall overpower you? The resonant calling of God reverberating through your heart or the echoing psalm to be true to yourself and embrace your sexuality? Discernment for a vocation is hard enough, now we get another factor to ponder upon? No wonder the rate of young men entering the seminary nowadays is decreasing by the minute.
I'd like to know what God thinks about all this. If only we can get His two cents.

I despise the Church, not the church.
They think of themselves as the "higher religion" due to the number of followers they have...
God is a mere thought brought up by society in order for them to discriminate.
Believe NOT in what you must. Believe in what you CAN.
